Jim Grant, Senior Pastor

Jim Grant is senior Pastor at Heartland Baptist Church in Alton, Illinois. He came to Heartland Baptist from Texas, where he served three churches. He is an Air Force veteran, retiring with 25 years of service. His extensive travels while in the military allowed him the unique ability to have served in the full gambit of churches styles and health. He has a master of divinity degree from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, and a Doctorate of Ministry degree from Midwestern Baptist Theological seminary with a concentration on Church Revitalization. He has been married to his wife for 39 years; they have two daughters and five grandchildren.

John Collins, Discipleship and Family Pastor

Before coming to Heartland, John served as Senior Pastor of Second Baptist Church of Poplar Bluff, MO, which is where he also spend 9 years as the Baptist Student Union Director at Three Rivers College. John grew up in the Atlanta, GA area and earned a BFA from Valdosta State University. After college, John attended New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary, where he earned a Masters of Divinity. John loves to spend time with His family, working on DYI projects, playing sports, and watching sports, especially the Georgia Bulldogs.

Jeanie Farrow, Financial Secretary

Jeanie joined our staff December of 2000. Jeanie and her husband Rick live in Godfrey and have an adult son and are the proud grandparents of two grandsons, just ask to see pictures. They live on a farm and enjoy wildlife and their dog, Snickers.

Sarah Neuhaus, Office Coordinator

Sarah joined our staff in November, 2013. Sarah and her husband, Monte, have been married for 22 years and live in Alton. She has a 16 year old daughter, Addisyn and three grown step-sons, Brandyn, Chris, and Nate. Sarah enjoys spending time with her family and her dog, Fred.
